The program empowers community organizations to communicate the health needs of the communities they represent directly to researchers at the Cancer Center. Additionally, it enables researchers and their labs to collaborate with community partners on projects that may ultimately benefit local populations, while providing community partners with opportunities to provide input.
About the Funding
Each community partner receives a $20,000 grant ($10,000 in the first year and $10,000 in the second year, contingent upon study progress), and each scientist receives $30,000 ($20,000 in the first year and $10,000 in the second year, contingent upon study progress).
The application deadline is March 13, 2026.
