About
Darral works closely with Aileen Baker and is responsible for supporting OPHS main office operations such as conference room/drop-in office space calendars, food and office supply orders, assisting with travel arrangements and reimbursements, new vendors, invoicing, and administering purchase orders. Additionally, Darral organizes internal engagement events/receptions and has assumed oversight of administrative calendar support for Dr. Lynn Gerald, PhD, MSPH, Visiting Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research in OPHS.
Darral comes to UIC from the University of Illinois System’s Discovery Partners Institute (DPI), an organization focused on technology workforce development, applied research and business building. Having spent over two years at DPI, he supported eight senior leaders, worked closely with the events teams, and assisted in fulfilling business and operational needs.
Darral attained his BS in Psychology from Central Michigan University. He is currently working towards earning his master's in public administration (MPA) at UIC.
