Dr. Jonathan M. Radosta, Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine and Chief Medical Officer of the University of Illinois Hospital & Clinics, has assumed the position of Assistant Vice Chancellor for Medical Liability & Liaison to University Counsel. In this role, Dr. Radosta is responsible for advising the university on legal matters related to medical liability and serving as a liaison between the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs and University Counsel. In this capacity, he manages and mitigates potential risks to the university related to medical malpractice or other legal issues involving healthcare activities.
As chief medical officer for UI Health, Dr. Radosta engages with the multiple challenges faced by large health organizations as they strive to optimize outcomes for a wide-variety of patient populations. A primary care physician, he has held a number of leadership positions at UI Health focused on improving patient care and outcomes. These include his roles as chief ambulatory medical officer, co-chief medical information officer, senior medical director for managed care and center medical director for internal medicine primary care clinics.
Dr. Radosta attained his MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine where he also completed his internal medicine residency.
