Mark I. Rosenblatt has served as executive dean of the College of Medicine since March 2019, and as Associate Vice Chancellor of Physician Affairs since 2022. He was named Interim CEO of the University of Illinois Hospital and Clinics in 2023. An internationally recognized clinician-scientist, Dr. Rosenblatt has written over 150 original manuscripts, review articles, book chapters and abstracts. He earned his MD/PhD with a specialization in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency and clinical/research fellowship in corneal disease at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary/Harvard Medical School. He also earned an MBA from New York University and MHA from UIC.
