Please respect the mural.

Designed and painted by Miguel A. Del Real, an artist born and raised in Pilsen, Chicago, this detailed depiction of the anatomical heart is the most symbolic element of our center, as it represents Odehmenan or “this heart of ours.” Admire the art, but please do not touch!

Please don’t move furniture.

Unless requested during room reservation, please keep furniture in place.

The kitchen area is for the staff.

Please eat meals on the on the 1st floor or lower-level vending area of the library.

Keep noise levels low.

Group work is highly encouraged. Just remember we are still in a library.

Please don't touch the tech.

Only touch the tech if you’ve reserved the space for an approved event.

Remember this space is meant for everyone!

Members from both inside and outside UIC/UI Health are encouraged to enjoy the space, while being mindful and respectful, including the Library’s Code of Conduct.
